1.0 Purpose of this policy

The purpose of this policy is to outline how we collect and use personal data about you in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Data Protection Law and other laws, regulations and secondary legislation, as amended or updated from time to time, in Guernsey.

2.0 Who we are

SEA Limited trading as Sheppards Estate Agents, is a Guernsey limited Company whose registered office is noted at the end of this policy. For the purpose of GDPR, we are the data controller so therefore have the responsibility for deciding how we hold and use your personal data. In accordance with Data Protection Legislation, we are required to notify you of the information contained in this Privacy Policy.

We may collect personal data about you for the purpose of providing you with a service. The service may include, but is not limited to, names, postal addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers. This information may come from a third party or intermediary.

4.0 What information do we collect about you

The type of information we collect about you may include your personal details, such as your name and address, contact details such as telephone numbers and email, from general enquiries, any services you have received from us, correspondence, complaints, research, etc.

5.0 How we use your personal data

We may process your personal data for the purposes necessary for the performance of our duties with you.

We will only collect, use and otherwise handle your Personal Information when it is necessary for our legitimate interests in connection with the operation of our business, and to improve the quality of the service that we provide to you. 8.0 Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. We will provide you with this information within one month of receiving your request and verifying your identity.

9.0 Data retention 

We will endeavour not to keep your personal data for longer than we have to for us to fulfil our obligations to you. When assessing what retention period is appropriate for your personal data, we will take into consideration the requirements of our business and the services provided, the purposes for which we originally collected the data, the lawful grounds on which we based our processing, any statutory legal obligations, the categories of your personal data, the types of personal data we have collected and if the purpose of the processing could reasonably be fulfilled by other means. 

10.0. Office space

We may from time to time share our office space with third parties but remain committed to keeping your data secure at all times. In addition, we would in such cases enter into a strict confidentiality agreement with the third party.

We will review our Privacy Policy regularly and any updates in the future will be notified on our website, sheppards.gg
